Often taking a child for occupational therapy involves sitting in a waiting room and waiting for them to come out an hour later. Sometimes children receive OT at school and there's minimal communication between the parent and the therapist. We make parents and caregivers an active part of the therapy process. You will know what your child is working on every week and how to help carry that over at home. We call this the parent coaching model. We look at your family holistically to find solutions that work for your lifestyle.
